Accompanied by her daughter and two grandchildren, Judy Gallegos received a Recognition of Services Award from the Board of Commissioners Monday. Gallegos is retiring after 22 years of service to the Department of Human Services (DHS).
In a career beginning in July of 1996, Gallegos devoted her time to the childcare division. Known for having a passion for her job, she was instrumental in building the childcare division of Weld County. She also provided her co-workers with lots of knowledge, always doing so with a warm, friendly, and engaging personality.
“There’s sadness knowing that we’re losing such a great person who’s been serving the citizens well for over two decades” Weld County Commissioner Chair Steve Moreno said. “I wish you all the best with your family and thank you again for serving the citizens of Weld County.”
